To put your system on test you must contact our office at (845) 418-3577 and press option #1 for an operator. You will be required to verify your name and password, and the length of time you wish to have the system offline.
On a scale of 1-10 it really depends on how accessible the wires are. As soon as you know a wire has been damaged contact support so we can assess the damage.
Most phone apps use the internet to connect to your security devices. If the internet is out in your home/building then the app will not connect without a radio backup. If the internet is working, then we need to verify that the correct ports are forwarded through the router.
Most security devices rely on the internet for communication. Having a sub-par router will only cause problems when you least expect it. We highly encourage customers to purchase their own wireless router instead of using the ISP supplied router. A modem from Spectrum/Optimum is total fine, but if that device is also giving you WiFi, then you should purchase your own. Contact us and we can help, ultimately we want you to have reliable internet.
This is common because most PCI port scanners mis-identify the ports that we use as vulnerable ports. Typically when you fail a PCI test the conductor of the test will provide you with a fail notice that details out why you failed the test. Our staff can provide you with documentation to protest the test results and apply an exception to pass future tests.
It depends on how heavy the dog is. Motions detects passive infrared heat, and different weight dogs put off different patterns of heat. Most motion detectors will reliably ignore a dog weighing under 60lbs. If the dog is very “mobile” and jumps, then reduce that to 40lbs. If motions just won’t work for your dog, look into getting a glass break detector.
A glass break detector is a simple device that listens for the sound a breaking glass. Glass break detectors are great for areas with glass windows, and allows occupants to move around while still providing protection.

Unfortunately no. We are not carpenters, nor are we HVAC contractors. We will happily work with a reliable contractor or building owner to get your equipment connected and working with our system. We do not want to take on the liability of working on equipment that we are not 100% certified to work on.
We will only cancel appointments in the event that transportation poses a risk to our technicians. In the event that this happens all appointments will be given priority the next available business day.
No problem, we have unmarked vehicles and can send technicians without uniforms to blend in. Installations can also be done after hours to reduce visibility.
Congratulations! Use our contact form to email our sales dept and setup an appointment. We’ll walk you through the system, add new codes, and setup a call list.
The long answer can be read here. The short answer is that we couldn’t build or locate a suitable local monitoring station with a backup communications network. If your monitoring station goes down, who is listening for your emergency call? Monitoring stations without a backup take unnecessary risks with your life safety systems. We choose to provide our customers with the most reliable and redundant monitoring station we could find. Unfortunately that isn’t “local”, but we’ll settle for reliable instead.
